The Daily Chorizo 003 / The End
Don't worry, I'm not ending anything. #shockvalue
Something I realized lately is that I'm always coming up with endings. I know roughly where a character is going to end up, where a story is going to go, and even where I want this business (Chorizo LLC) to end up. This ends with me watching a Chorizo animation in some movie theater somewhere.
I don't stress on what gets to those endings, from issue to issue or the overall arc, because I know I'm going to get there. Building the middle is the exciting part, the improvisational part, that lets me jam out making daily characters and figuring out how they get out of the messes they make.
Yesterday, for an Instagram vote, I made two new characters. I knew because of the way the vote swayed that they were going to be a tag team of a Fire Belly Toad and Fire Belly Newt. Once I know they exist, then they start to build a life around them. What would these two buddies be? What do they do for money in Fight City? What drives them to be in Fight City?
The ending here is that the characters now exist for me and have existed in their own story. It's time to fill in their stories.
